Salem
Electric Company was founded in 1946 and has been continuously family
owned and operated ever since. Located
in
Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Salem Electric employs over 300 people.
We are involved in a state supported Electrical Apprenticeship Program
in conjunction with Forsyth Technical Community College. This is a four-year
program requiring 500 hours of classroom training and 8000 hours of on-the-job
training.

Our apprentices are required to attend two classes per week,
September thru April, each year during their four-year period. This
program allows us to insure that we
employ
the most competent electricians in the field. Each year Salem Electric
Company’s apprentices comprise 75% of the Forsyth County Electrical
Apprenticeship program.

We
take
great pride in the thoroughness of our training requirements. Because
of the ability of our employees, we hold ourselves to a high rate of
customer satisfaction. Our jobs are built on schedule and within the
allotted budget. Salem Electric offers productivity reports, project
continuity, coordination and control.
Salem Electric Company employs a full time safety director to insure
the complete safety of our employees on job sites. For the past five years
our experience modification has averaged a .77.
